Day In The Life of Landscaper Jorge Cortez of SB Evolution Landscape

Hello everyone, I’m Jorge Cortez with Santa Barbara Evolution Landscape and right now we’re finishing up a landscape installation of bark, we trimmed all the trees, prune all the dead wood. We removed a lot of weeds, there was weeds everywhere. As you can see now, they’re just sweeping, blowing, making sure the sidewalk is clean and clear of any debris. We’re making sure we’re removing some of the excess decorative bark and then we’re going to use that excess bark to spread it elsewhere around the property as needed.
As you see, this plant has a lot of citrus trees, orange trees, mandarins, avocados. And just a whole variety of different trees that he can just go outside and pick from, so, it’s really nice to have to have fruit trees at your own home. So you can pick and harvest them as you like.
Over here they’re installing the mexican rock all around this outdoor shower to make it nice. As you can see, there’s a nice flagstone pathway here. This is Antony. Say “Hello”, Antony.

He’s from Guatemala and he’s amazing such a hard worker. He’s placing in all the rocks in between the cracks and crevices. So, it looks beautiful and filled in appropriately. One he’s finished, he’s gonna clean up all this, everything around here, make sure everything’s clean and washed.
As you can see, we installed decorative bark here in between the flagstone, freshen up the walkway make everything look nice and as we head to the backyard, you’ll see an amazing pool with grass all away around. A variety of palm trees and bark all the way around the perimeter. So, itfreshes up the home. I’m gonna re recommend to the client to increase the water. It it se summer now, so we have to use the settings increase the water. Because it’s hot, the grass need more water, so it can grow. And add fertilizer, to give it an instant boost and make it as green, as possible. Do, it’s look beautiful for him to enjoy with this family in his backyard. As you see, there’s a hot tub there with flagstone all the way around. We installed more of the decorative bark in here,we trimmed these palm trees, we made sure we increased the height of the canopy. So, people can walk around here, tug he kids can walk around here and it’s not gonna obstruct their walkway. There’s a nice bender board, edging around the perimeter of the lawn. It acts as a nice barrier between the bark and the grass. So, it keeps the mulch and decorative bark, separate from the lawn, so it doesn’t spill over. As we walk over here, you see some roses, another palm tree, a maple tree right here to my left, amazing.
So, everything looks fresh and clean. It’s amazing, how great your landscape will look if you just add a couple of inches of new decorative fresh bark.
All right, now we walk toward the front yard. More decorative bark here, all this fruit trees look healthy, they’re growing. The guys are still sweeping, finishing up. So, we can finish the job today and make our clients happy. So, you can enjoy the holidays.
