Jorge Cortez Of SBevolution Landscaper Onboarding: New Client Assessments And What To Expect
Video Transcription
Hello, I’m Jorge Cortez with Santa Barbara Evolution Landscape and today we’re at canyon Perdido at a new apartment complex. Service we’re providing here in Santa Barbara and I’m going to show you some of the issues, that we encounter when we first onboard new clients. And some of those issues begin with overgrown shrubs and plants, roses and hedges.
As you can see here, if you look right here below me, it’s early part of the year, it’s been raining a lot. So the weeds have started to grow. All the seeds have germinate, weeds are growing, plants are growing. So we have to mitigate and take control of the weeds. And there’s different options, such as using a weed killer, organic, or non-organic, or removing them manually, which takes a lot more work and effort.so there’s different ways to approach it. It all depends on our client’s needs and wants. And in this specific case the client wanted us just go ahead and go straight into regular maintenance, which means it’s going to take some time before we can actually maintain the landscape to it’s best looking garden, that we can possibly do.
But some of our clients actually want us to do an initial cleanup and make it look pretty, clean up instantly.
So it just all depends on your wants and needs. In this case we started regular maintenance, it’s been about a couple month now, so there’s still a lot more work that needs to be done
Right now we’re doing an irrigation inspection. And as you can see some of the irrigation is working okay. And when we start a new maintenance client we always do an irrigation inspection, because we always encounter inefficiencies leaks and other issues around the landscape. As you can see here Beto, he’s checking the irrigation, he’s fine-tuning it and writing down notes. As far as any repairs that may need to be done. And what we’re going to do after that is we’re going to do a walkthrough with our client and show our client exactly all the issues here. As you can see behind me there’s a red flag. So that red flag indicates that there’s a leak of some sort or inefficiency going on here. And as you can clearly see here, there’s a red flag and there’s water just leaking from this connection point from the drip line to the spaghetti line to the emitter here. And we need to fix this. So that’s part of the issue here and there are many more issues that are going on with irrigation system. It’s going to take another couple months or so before we can maintain it, have it weed free and have all the plants looking pretty, but when you onboard with us and start your regular landscape maintenance. We can do a free consultation, so we can help you and provide you options that suit your budget and if you have a festivity of some sort that you’re doing. We can do an initial cleanup and make it look pretty within a couple of days or so depending on the scope of work.
