Video Transcription
Hello, I’m Jorge with Santa Barbara Evolution Landscape providing you with all of your landscaping needs. And today we’re on Oak Creek Canyon Road at Montecito just checking on a jobsite. I washer a few weeks ago, we did a weed clearing for fire prevention here. As you can see, this is a five acre lot up in the foothills in Montecito. That is the ocean over there, the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Santa Barbara. And we had weed whackers, lawn mowers and we spent more than a few days, actually. It must been the total of about five or six days with, about, three guys working fulltime with the lawn mower and mostly weed whackers. Just going through and just cutting down all the grass. Some the weeds are thick, so we had to get in there with machetes and just cut everything down. But overall it was a success we got it done and we’ll be moving on to a next project very soon. There’s another project we’re gonna be doing next week or two. So, I’m excited about that, this is the time of year, we’re gonna start cutting down the grasses to prevent any fires and make sure your home and your property stays free foam fires. Check it out. Just keep walking around here.
As you can see, it’s raining a little bit since then, so we have a few weeds are sprouting up,no big deal though. These aren’t any fire hazard, the ones I’m worried about the taller grasses, that can really come up in flames and then get activate the Oak trees and get them fired up. And then they can go out of control there. So,everything looks really good. Quit a bit of land that we covered here. Good thing it’s been cool the past few days. So, when the guys were working here, it wasn’t that bad, but there were a few days when it was really hot. And there’s no excuses, but we got to get through it and cut all the weeds down and grasses.
Yeah, that were here, this is where they found the snake, I think it was, they come across a rattlesnake somewhere around and there’s a lot of poison ivy and poison oak in there. So, one of my guys got poison oak on them. So, he’s being treated for that, but it’s part of the job, you know, I’m gonna make sure you wear protective gear and sunscreen.
So, you can protect yourselves from the damage of the sun and any potential critters or snakes and poison oak.
All right, thank you very much and I’ll see you, guys soon.
